Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg and his wife Miriam visited the Palace Road Community Centre in South London on Bank Holiday Monday. They were introduced to to loud cheers by TV presenter Floella Benjamin.

He warned Labour and Conservative leaders "you don't inherit power, you earn it".

Labour supporters snuck into the venue with 'vote labour' placards and a minor scuffle broke out to remove them from the crowd.

After speaking, Clegg, shook hands with members of the audience before being interviewed by the mainstream media.
