Water Shortage in Northern California

in Environment, on the 13th of March 2009
With rain at its lowest in years and Shasta Lake at these levels it could be trouble for all of California this summer. If the lake were to go dry it would be yet another problem for a state that is already struggling. This lake feeds the Sacramento River and most of valley depends on it for food production. Not to mention a loss of power to the grid. These are some pictures of the shasta lake taken today at Turtle Bay campground and surrounding areas off Interstate 5. Ill give updates as the summer goes on.
