Vince Cable MP campaigning in St Albans

On the final day of campaigning before the UK General Election the deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats, Vince Cable MP, attends and speaks at an election rally in St Albans in support of prospective parliamentary candidate Sandy Walkington.

The LibDems are targetting the St Albans constituency as a key winnable seat and hope to overturn the current Conservative MP Anne Main.

Over 100 local LibDem supporters turned out to hear Mr Cable speak, although their numbers were also boosted by a number of Conservative supporters who were keen to show support for their own candidate with placards and reasonably good natured heckling.
