Protesters clash with Basiji

Iran executed members of the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK) for crimes against the state prompting protests across Tehran universities initially led by the Kurdish communities. The apparent members of the PJAK who were hung today were Ali Heidarian, Farhad Vakili, Farzad Kamangar, Mehdi Eslamian, and the women was named as Shirin Alamhouli. The PJAK was formed in 2004 and is affiliated to the PKK located in Turkey.

As the protests progressed throughout the day the police came out in force as well as the infamous Basiji who then clashed with the protesters.
