Thousands of Catholics from several countries walked singing through Paris on 24 May 2010 at the end of a 105 kilometer pilgrimage from Chartres over the three days of Pentecost -- in what has so far been the three hottest days of the year in France.

Pilgrims of all ages, including priests and boy scouts, came from several regions of France (including Brittany), Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland. Clothes included classic French hiking gear, boy scout uniforms, modest frocks and of course cassocks.

Although Latin Mass is traditionally recited on pilrimages, the marchers sang fervently in French.
