The police is on alert after groups said they will demonstrate against Israel 17.00 local time Oslo outside the country´s embassy.

In the photos police can be seen preparing the defence of the embassy.

The demonstrations are called for after several activists were killed by Israeli soldiers on board a ship headed for Gaza earlier today.

Amongst the people calling for demonstrations is the doctor Mads Gilbert, who worked in the Shifa hospital during the Gaza offensive in 2009.
