A hot day in Slovenian capitol Ljubljana added to the tension as the FIFA World Cup Group C match between Slovenia and Algeria in Polokwane, South Africa, progressed and escalated into final minutes. After Algeria’s Abdelkader Ghezzal played with his hand and was sent off the pitch with a second warning, Slovenia’s Robert Koren scored in the 79th minute of the match. This is the first ever FIFA World Cup victory for Slovenia and it took them to the top of group C at the moment, since England and USA played 1:1. Slovenia will meet USA on Friday, June 18.
