The former Berlin Airport of Tempelhof hosted the International Design Festival from June 9th to 13th.

The annual festival is the most important event in the field of design. It is here many young designers have the opportunity to show their own work and it is a recognized launching pad for new talents.

The central exhibition presented pioneering products and experimental protoypes by more than 400 internation designers. The exhibition featured new product launches by professional designers, studios and firms (Allstars area).

As well as experimental work by young and upcoming designers (Youngsters area).
Metal furniture, chairs made from fabric, robots and a spirit of open creativity took over the cavernous
old hangars of the former Airport Tempelhof in Berlin.

This year the special focus was on digital media and production, as well as features from Vienna Design Week, Swiss Design Prize, design city Buenos Aires and the Seoul Design Festival.
