Strong police presence on the annivesary of the disputed Iran Election

A year after the Iranian elections, which controversially saw Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad remain President. The elections had become the spectacle throughout the world with many Iranians and international bodies fearing cheating and manipulation of the votes. However, the anniversary which was feared to be a culmination of outbreaks of violence and protests against the allegedly fixed results passed without much chaos. Perhaps due to the strong police presence in the town of Tehran.
