The event lasted about four hours and was filed with speeches - by the organizers involved, ethnic leaders, local & international NGOs - reading of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's biography, performances, cake cutting, multi-religion prayers and the grand finale was the releasing of three white pigeons symbolizing their demand to free Daw Aungg San Suu Kyi.

The organizers, in their press statement that although they are three different political parties that have ben exiled, they believe that the only one person who can lead the 2nd Panlong Convention to formulate a genuine democratic federal union would be Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and thus in one voice they demanded the Junta to:

- release all political prisoners including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and U Khun Htun Oo.
- amend the 2008 Constitution in accordance with democratic norms.
- hold an al-inclusive election that is free and fair.

The ALD (Exile) Malaysia, NLD (LA) Malaysia and ZNC (LA) Malaysia as the organizers held a multi-religion prayer for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and their homeland before releasing the pigeons which marks the end of the celebration and the beginning of a new hope to their long years of struggle.
