Concerned Italian citizens in Sorrento, Italy gathered in Piazza Lauro to protest the Berlusconi administration's new legislation. They believe that the new law effectively puts a gag on the country's press by restricting certain events from being reported in the media. In addition protesters said that the police will have access to monitor all communications and seriously curtail their right to privacy.
