A 3pm, teargas was utilized by Toronto Police at the intersection of Queen Street West and John Street due to vandalism. At 3:15pm, a flare was set off at Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue, steps away from where teargas was used minutes before.

At approximately 4pm at the intersection Queen Street West and John Street, two police cars were severely damaged and set in flame by a man who was later arrested.
