The gay community in Marseilles splinted due to an argument between the organizations about what will be the official slogan and label of the parade. Small but happy and noisy parade went out of the old port through the main streets of Marseilles. This explain the absence of many of the adult gays and the transgenders and the full presence of the younger generation. This also explains why many of the adult gays that were around didn't march but still followed the parade. I find it hard to understand why a community that fight for recognition and support allow itself to split up for political reasons.
