FIFA World Cup 2010 Ends - Kathmandu, Nepal

Nepali football fans gathered at Dasarath stadium,Kathmandu to watch the final match between Netherlands and Spain in the FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 on 11 July,2010.

Thousands of people gathered at stadium to watch the game, many fans were busy painting their faces to show their support for either Netherlands or Spain. The event of the live telecasting of the FIFA World Cup-2010 final match was organized by Growth Sellers Consultancy Pvt Ltd (GSCP) in sponsorship with Gurans Life Insurance Company Limited (GLIC).

People enjoyed the game on 5 big screens placed in Dashrath Stadium.The occasion also had musical concerts, food and other performances.

Around midnight, and not just in the stadium, the streets of all the cities like Kathmandu,Bhaktapur, lalitpur and Pokhara was full of people watching the game on the big screen placed in the their respective areas. This shows World Cup fever is high among the Nepalese football lovers.

Spain won the title with 1-0 against the Netherlands.The fever of World cup 2010 has ended.

Now the future is in the hands of Brazil in 2014.
