Day 1 of the Brightling Park International Horse Trials 2010
The annual Brightling Park International Horse Trials near the small village of Burwash. Day 1 of the two day event sees novice riders attempt the dressage, cross country and show jumping courses.Burwash, UK. 17/07/2010
After a somewhat windy and overcast start to the Brightling Park International Horse Trials on its first day on Saturday, the pace picked up once the novice riders started out on the cross country course that involves two main water elements and an uphill gallop to the finish. Many horses, however, due to being 'green' were eliminated due to the three refusal penalty at the frustration of their riders!
The Brightling Park International Horse Trials offers no limitations as to what fences spectators can view, making it unique compared to most major equestrian eventing venues such as Badminton and Burghley.
