Neda Cup Football Match in Honour of Iran's Fallen Heroes

A friendly football match was held in Westway stadium, West London, yesterday in honour of Iran's fallen pro-democracy heroes.

More than 100 people turned up to watch a friendly match between Aryan FC and Iran FC and commemorate those who lost their lives during the post-election protests last year.

'Good people do not remain indifferent and today we are here to say that we will remember those who lost their lives for democracy in Iran in all walks and shapes of our lives' - one of the organisers said.

'They want to say that no one opposes them and when they kill those who oppose them, they want to erase all traces of them, we are showing that our martyrs will exist for ever, for they have become immortal' - Elham watching the match in the crowd told our reporter.

The match ended 5-3 in favour of Aryan FC, but it was not the result that mattered, what mattered was that those who fell were remembered once again.
