Louisiana Army National Guards operate John Deere 650J Bulldozer to level sand on a land bridge behind a rock wall on Elmer's Island, La., July 14. Soldiers use the smaller dozer, rather than their larger, heavier dozers, because of the increased mobility. The construction of the land bridge allowed the transportation of personnel and supplies along the Louisiana coast in support of the Deep Horizon oil spill cleanup efforts.
