Read what you wrote seems to read a summary of the outcome of Israeli commission of inquiry .. .. If you have any anticipation or to talk just to say our personal opinions without waiting for the end of the investigations?

Thank you Oren for your reply. I'll follow with great interest your report ... but the difference between me and you is that you think that a report could teach the truth. I'm sure you are a great man like many others israeli people that aren't agree with you. But I'd like to invite you to pay attention when write description and caption... there are rules to consider to bring the news near the truth.
Upset .. naive ... kid ... I want to assure you that I'm not upset, naive and kid just because I might criticize your work. Politics in my comments got to do less than there is in your history. Please Oren try to use words properly. I have not offended Oren in my comments, but I would make a critical editing of your story.
Peace is built with the enemy. If you think that Israel will one day live in peace without the agreement of the enemy you're a simpleton. I am sure that with the constructive dialogue we can achieve another level of living, not with guns or charges.

Carmine - I don't think oren was trying to simply re-state what has already been in the mainstream media ad infinitum. It seems that he was given access to photograph evidence that may not have been presented by other sources. For that we owe him thanks. Certainly his piece doesn't tell the whole story - it doesn't attempt to and doesn't need to. As for the rest, you might just as well have written that a Nobel prize winner and many Europeans were, at the very least, co-opted into being useful idiots by the IHH, and may well have willingly taken part in what they knew to have been a planned act of violence, one which was entirely unnecessary inasmuch as Israel had already publicly stated that any humanitarian goods would be delivered to Gaza under the supervision of those on the boat. How about changing the world thru that truth? There was no need for anyone to die on that ship, as proven by the fact that the others were boarded peacably and not a hair on anyone's head was harmed. No one is happy about what happened, but one should always ask "Cui bono" - who benefits? And it certainly wasn't israel, was it?

information where you take pictures and captions is unacceptable because it doesn't tally with the news. Demotix is no depth, but it is a collector of news.
The journalist should have said in addition to 82 Knife used against Israeli soldiers, the ship was traveling in international waters at the time of the attack when nine passengers died due to gunshot wounds (Some evidence showed that 8 men killed were terrorists?)
Why not tell too, that among the wounded were a Nobel Prize for Peace and many Europeans wanting to violate the embargo?

I would like to remember that a journalist mustn't write personal opinion but only what happened, and when a committee examined the facts, we must respect their work and await completion. This is journalism ... ethics and respect for all!

Any cop will tell you that in many ways he/she fears knives even more than guns. Any idea how many people are killed by knives every year? As for IHH being an extremist group, a great deal has already been published about this; among other things, a 2006 report issued by the Danish Institute for International Studies (hardly a friend of israel) stated that the IHH maintained links with al-Qaida and a number of global jihad networks, and that the Turkish government government itself initiated a comprehensive investigation into the IHH in 1997 after receiving intelligence that the IHH had acquired automatic weapons from Islamist terrorists.
The same report goes on to detail that the Turkish government subsequently raided IHH's Istanbul offices, in which were found weapons, explosives, and instructions for bomb-making. There is much more info out there - one can start by looking up "IHH" in Wikipedia, even. Or google IHH and Hamas. Yeah, as always it's hard for a regular Joe to really know for sure, but there are plenty of sources that are hardly under the control of the Zionists that are pretty explicit about IHH's connections with Hamas, the Moslem Brotherhood, and even Al Qaeda. We also have the public statements by some people on the boat that they sought martyrdom. Certainly this behavior corroborates the evidence I have cited above.
