Former Marine and current U.S. Congressional candidate for the 7th District of North Carolina, Ilario Pantano, prepares to answer questions before a town-hall meeting in Wilmington, North Carolina, at Myrtle Grove Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Pantano was famously embroiled in an internationally-renowned military hearing in 2005. He was charged with two counts of murder after he killed two Iraqis during a vehicle search. He was cleared of all charges.

Opposing candidate, Democrat Mike McIntyre, answered questions in a similar town-hall format at the same location on Saturday, July 24, 2010.
