The fighting started in Mogadishu around 4:00pm yesterday afternoon when people in Mogadishu prepared for the breaking of their whole day fast. There has been heavy shelling from the AMISOM bases in Mogadishu which landed in the districts controlled by Al-Shabaab, most of the shelling landed into Bakara Market which is the largest and the busiest Market in Somalia. The fighting came after a short while when the Spokesman of Al-Shabaab Sheikh Ali Mohamed Raghe “Sheikh Ali Dhere” called for the Al-Shabaab troops and the Somali people to launch a heavy attack which he named “The eradication of the invaders” against Transitional Federal Government of Somalia and the African Union Peace keeping forces in Mogadishu.
