Rally in Ukraine for utilities costs - Kiev

President Viktor Yanukovych hopes for the co-operation between the coalition and opposition at the Verkhovna Rada, he said at Parliament.
Yanukovych noted that he is ready to do his best to secure correct decisions of the Verkhovna Rada.
The president considers that fight against economic crunch is the major task for all branches of the power and the holding of reforms is a guarantee of acceleration of the economy. Yanukovych said that he is interested in transparency and fairness of local elections. He wished success to deputies.

At the same time, about 2,500 supporters of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc and the Svoboda All-Ukrainian Association party are holding rally near the Verkhovna Rada building demanding immediate consideration of introduction of a moratorium for increase of cost of housing and public utility services from September 14.
