Mistri, who settled in Madrid from Birmingham, UK, five years ago is bringing back her Dreams of Bollywood for the third year to Madrid.

This successful show is about a love story that mixes music, colour and dance which are the universal language of love itself. Mistri told me that the audience can easily understand the show because they do not need to rely on language to understand the message.

In her choreography Mistri is inspired by the romance of Bollywood and the classical Indian dance.

However, Mistri introduces Mediterranean style dancing such as Flamenco and as one would expect this part of the show is full of sensuality

The second part of the show is more vibrant with the Bhangra beat mixed with funk and hip hop style routine.

Although this is a simple love story, there is much more to the show, I’ve been told, than girl meets boy.

Dreams of Bollywood is at the Pequeño Teatro Gran Via between the 8 – 12 September 2010.
