Chand Raat, the night before Eid, was celebrated here in Islamabad with great zest, and crowded and packed jammed streets and shopping malls. Islamabad, Pakistan. 10/09/2010
Chand Raat (the night before Eid) was celebrated here in Islamabad with great zest, crowded and packed jammed streets and shopping malls.
Despite the current disaster and flood relief work going all over the country, the people in the capital city were seen busy shopping for themselves and their loved ones for the Eid-ul-Fitr which shall be celebrated tomorrow.
Mehndi booths, Churiyan (Bangles) booths, Shoes and Jewelers stalls were the most crowded places in the markets.
A small festival was also held for the help of flood affected children, puppet and musical shows were arranged. Encouraging people to come forward and denote for the victims of the recent floods in the country that took lives in hundred thousands and affected more than half of the Nation.
I wish you all a very Happy and Blessed Eid.
