Heavy fighting during the day of general strike in Barcelona
The main access road to the city was blocked with barricades, informational pickets have controlled the output of buses and during the demostrations heavy clashes broke out between the Catalan regional police and activists of radical left persuasion.
At least one police vehicle was destroyed and so far 14 people detained by police.
