New Guinness World Record - Plantation of 50,033 trees by 9313 people

People of Ladakh, monks and nuns, led by their spiritual leader Gyalwang Drukpa created a new Guinness world record by planting 50033 saplings in 33min and 25 secs. Leh, India. 21/04/2005
People of Ladakh, monks, nuns and members of Live to Love foundation, led by their spiritual leader Gyalwang Drukpa today created a new Guinness world record by planting 50033 saplings in 33min and 25 secs. The trees planted during the drive comprised of Ladakh Willow, which is native to the region.
Many Ladakhi men and women adorned their best colourful traditional dresses for the occasion and participated in the opening ceremony.
