This is one of many weekly protests through out the west bank that keeps the Israeli armed forces busy and the Palestinian struggle alive and active.

Maria was arrested and held in Jail for 24 hours after she crossed a line marked in the sand by the soldiers a mark that represented a closed military zone between the Palestinian village and the near by Jewish community of Karmei Tzur.Anyone that crossed it was arrested.

Great pics, it really looks like you were right in the middle of it. What was that American (Maria) arrested for? Did you see what led up to it?

Yes i would say that the media plays a major role in these demos and that some of them get cancelled if the press can`t attend them,so you have a deep understanding on both sides of this conflict that the war is in the media rather than on the battlefield and both sides use it for their own advantage.
However the problems remain and people are being injured and killed if the press is there or not.
