In Chile, the pharmacies are ruled by three enterprises. A month ago, this enterprises decided to rise the prices over 3.000%, causing that many drugs became unaffordable for som people. The laboratories did not rise the prices, only the pharmacies did. People, angry, marched on the streets.
The pharmacies were sued for US$1.000.000 by the gobernement, but that doesn't force them to lower the prices, and for the pharmacies, one million dollars is just a simbolic amount of money: they make much more in a few days.
Once again, big enterprises hurting the people.

terrible, but no.
not at all.

Great photos and story. Has the protest and boycott forced the pharmacies to change their position in any way?
