Tamil Protest in Parliament Square

London’s Tamil community protest against the civil war and ‘genocide’ taking place in Sri Lanka. A small crowed of protesters have been occupying a section of parliament square where iconic British figures Winston Churchill and Big Ben tower above them.
One protestor Subramanyam Parameswaran has been on hunger strike since the 7th of April in an attempt to increase the pressure of the UK government to broker a cease fire deal and urge the Sri Lanka government to allow humanitarian aid agencies and journalists to visit the conflict areas.
