People in Barcelona were given the chance to view the Sagrada Familia temple for free today after the decision was made to open its doors for 4 consecutive Saturdays throughout January. Barcelona, Spain. 08/01/2011
Because of the interest aroused by the images broadcast on television for the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to Barcelona, and in gratitude for the patience of locals taken by the visit, the "Patronat de la Sagrada Família" has decided to open the doors of the basilica to be visited for free the four Saturdays in January.
Visiting hours are from 9:00 to 14:00, but at 8:30 and there was a queue. Many people passing on the street did not know what was the queue. About 19,000 visitors expressed their admiration at the sight inside the temple.
