Ugandans return to their home villages to cast their votes in Friday's Presidential and Parliamentary election. Barlonyo, Lira, Uganda. 17/02/2011

Uganda goes to the polls tomorrow to elect a president and members of parliament, and many people are leaving the urban areas for their villages where they registered to vote.
The main opposition leader and flag bearer of The Inter Party Cooperation (IPC) Presidential candidate, Dr Kizza Besigye has said he is ready to concede defeat and congratulate the new president-elect, but only if he has lost in a free and fair contest. Dr Besigye according to media reports warned that should the election be rigged as the Supreme Court found to have happened in the two previous elections, he will turn to the “courts of the people” this time, not the courts of law.
President Museverni who is reeking re election for third term and has already ruled Uganda for 25 years assured Ugandans that the elections will be peaceful.
