Description:

The activity of the SNCM has been paralysed since late January by a strike from seamen of CGT.
The union denies the management decision to have reduced thbetween Nice-Corsica, causing the elimination of 35 positions. The management had indicated that these jobs would be preserved.

The strike was renewed Monday, February 21, 2011, "unanimously"according to a CGT charge.
In addition, four non-striking unions - CFE-CGC, FOR, CGT and CGT sedentary officers - said in a letter sent Monday, February 21, 2011, at the direction of the SNCM support the proposal of the Local government Corsica in favor of "a round table around which all parties would be invited by the Minister of Transport to discuss the future of ferry service to Corsica.
