In a game for city bragging rights and first place in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) Western Division (Southwest), the San Diego Flash defeated San Diego Boca FC 2-1 in a game at Westview High School.

In a game for both first place in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) Western Division (Southwest) and city bragging rights, the San Diego Flash defeated San Diego Boca FC 2-1. The win gives the Flash a 3-0 record and drops Boca to 2-1 on the season. Ladule Lako-LoSarah and Duatch “Dutch” Jock scored for the Flash, while Cameron Roget netted the lone Boca goal. The game featured several spectacular saves by goalies Justin Meyers for the Flash and Steven Gonzales for Boca as well as numerous hard tackles as both teams pushed for the win.

During halftime the Flash honored the San Diego Sockers on their back-to-back PASL-Pro championships and 13 total indoor soccer titles. Flash owner Clent Alexander presented Sockers General Manager John “Coach” Kentera with a plaque honoring the team’s years of success. Before the game PASL-Pro MVP Kraig Chiles took the ceremonial kickoff as part of the pre-game ceremonies.

The Flash next travels to San Francisco for a game against the Bay Area Ambassadors who are 0-3 after losing to Real San Jose. Boca will attempt to return to the win side of the column when they host the 1-1 Santa Ana Winds at Balboa Stadium. Both games will take place on Saturday, April 23.
