The 2555th Buddha Purnima festival is celebrated with a day-long program in the Buddhist temple of Agartala. The festival commemorates the birth and enlightenment of Buddha and his attainment of Nirvana.
A day-long programme is held in Benuban, a Buddhist Temple in Agartala, capital of northeastern state of Tripura. Buddha's birthday is celebrated among Buddhist all over the world.
