Adriano de Souza won his home championship on the World Tour making him the first Brazilian to become leader of the surfing world tournament after beating Taj Burrow in front of thousands of supporters. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 20th May 2011

One of the most professional athletes on tour, Adriano de Souza won his second tournament in his career in the elite of world surfing in his country. With thousands of supporters on the beach, he beat Taj Burrow, who had already won three tournaments of the world tour in Brazil previously. With the victory he becomes the first brazilian in history to lead the surfing world tour.
