Several thousand demonstrators followed the call of the KKE (Communist Party of Greece) for a demonstration against the austerity measures imposed by the Greek government and the IMF. Athens, Greece. 28th May 2011
Several thousand demonstrators assembled at Oromonia Square today, to follow the appeal by the Communist Party of Greece, to demonstrate against the austerity measures imposed by the Greek government and the IMF. The protesters marched from Omonia Square to the headquarters of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises, where they left a grafiti. They then proceeded to Syntagma Square, to shout slogans against the parliament.
The demonstration was peacfull, despite a heavy police present in the area around Syntagma Square.
