Two male dancers dancing with each other on one of the most prestigious dance competition of the world.
Two male dancers Jonathan Morrison and Sergio Brilhante entered compeitition dancing with each other in Blackpool Dance Festival this year. The competition hosting the British Open Professional Latin-american Championships is one of the worlds most prestigious and well known dance competitions if it is not the top one in all rankings by the dancers.
The fact the two male could enter competition is not due to the open nature of the competition or the dancing community neither is it due to the widely known openness of the city of Blackpool. The city is famous for its locale Funny Girls that often brings the colors of the rainbow to the city on the North Shore. But this two guys could dance because the rules of the competition simply do not prohibit it - maybe only yet it is. Unlike many other countries worldwide in the UK dancing regulations do not state that only a man and a woman can enter the competition. And the two men keep entering new and new competitions what many of the audience applaud but don't really welcome in theit hearts and private conversations. The two guys are breaking only the unwtitten rules of dancing that a coupple shall consist of a man and a woman. However their action may lead to an unprecedented change of rules to british regulation to ban same sex dancers. At least the two gentlemen honor the audience with man like outfit as none of them is wearing a skirt like the actors in Funny Girls usually do.
Like in many areas of life it is not uncommon among dancers to be homosexual and there are some of them opely admitting it. But not even the most well known ones dance with partners from the opposing sex if they want a succesful career in ddancing. On the other hand Jonathan Morrison and Sergio Brilhante share their motto being "Partners in life and partners on the dance floor!"

I believe that the author of this article must be a little bit confused...
First you don't have to be gay to dance with another men, second there's a big difference between a Professional Latin-American dancer and a cabaret show and third I don't understand why it would be expected them to dress up any differently then their fellow competitors.
It takes a lot of dedication and effort to compete in this field. To conclude I believe that the author should define success.. If success to you means: 'Do your best and be true to yourself' then I believe this couple is already a winner!
