Description: 

As night falls during the week of June 15-22 the Old City of Jerusalem will be transformed into a giant exhibition of sight and sound. Well-known light sculptors and designers from around the world are taking part, happy to have a unique and ancient backdrop for them to exhibit their creations. 300,000 visitors are expected.

"The Butterfly Effect" premiered this evening in a circus fairy-tale performed on the Old City wall. Suspended from cables Y Circus performers lead the audience to forget the meaning of 'vertical' and 'horizontal' in acrobatics and dance seemingly defying gravity as video was projected on the wall behind them.

The Festival of Light is an initiative of the Jerusalem Development Authority and produced by the Ariel Municipal Company.
