This fresh attack comes 6 months after the Anonymous group took credit for disrupting the operations of international payment groups, such as PayPal in response to cutting off payments destined for WikiLeaks.
Last week, hacking group LulzSec allegedly mentioned that they would partner with Anonymous, birthing a campaign titled Operation Anti-Security with a collective name of AntiSec, to target banks and government agencies that are trying to limit the freedom of information resulting from the creation of WikiLeaks.
Reportedly, an Anonymous member gave an interview to AP last Friday in which it was stated that at least 5 gigabytes of information was held concerning global government and law enforcement agencies and that this would be released in the coming weeks.
Today, the group released documents and login details from gaming and corporate websites in the form of a torrent which allegedly contained AT&T Inc. documents detailing a wireless broadband network in the US, due to be launched this summer.
Yesterday, the AntiSec collective took down the official Tunisian governments website, stating that "In the heights of #AntiSec, people from all over the world will join united against corrupt governments throughout the world, including you Government of Tunisia, and fight for the truth."
According to the officail website of Anonymous, AnonOps Communications, Monday also saw the release the identities of around 2,800 Colombian Black Eagles Special Police Unit members.
