Police subdued determined protesters, mainly young students, for roughly an hour after the main June 30th strike marched through London. Press photographers were also getting hassled by police, which does not follow ACPO guidelines. UK. 30th 2011
At least 4 police prison vans were allowed through police lines shortly after 1600 hours and reportedly over 20 arrests were made.
Numerous complaints have been put forward to the Metropolitan Police regarding the treatment of the press.
The police eventually pushed the protesters back and diverted them down Horse Guards Avenue.
