News of the World sees its last days on the racks - London

The News of the World paper was founded in 1843 and this Sunday will see its last publication. The announcement comes after it emerged the papper had been hacking people phones, initially it was thought to be limited to celebrity and politicians. However this week increasing evidence has been made public that indicates it was widespread and as many as 4000 people may have been hacked.

The negative fallout over this has meant that many advertisers were pulling their adverts, the lifeblood of newspapers as well as spilling over into other businesses owned by the parent company and deals they were trying to do.
