Thousands of people marched from Plaza Venezuela to the National Assembly in demand for respect and equality of gender diversity.
Richard Hung, vice president of the Lambda Community-Based Organization of Venezuela, said through a contact information broadcast by Venezolana de Television, at the end of this walk a committee of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBT) delivered to the National Assembly the document recorded at the same body on 22 August, to reiterate the requests that require to be included in different Venezuelan law.
This document requires the Network LGBTI an amendment to the Civil Registration Act to allow the Venezuelan LGBTI people, change their name and sex in personal documents without a genital change.
Also seek approval of an anti-discrimination law that punishes violations of human rights of people with gender diversity and eliminate the current legislation all laws that deny or limit rights to individuals sexodiversas.
Hung stressed that this is the March for Diversity Gender No. 11, which shows that the revolutionary government's willingness to promote the inclusion of all sectors and citizens to develop laws to claim their rights under the Constitution.
Ingrid Varon member of the Lesbian Base de Venezuela, said that this activity has a vindictive nature where (LGBT) equality and equity claims rights in different areas of national events.
The activist noted that currently the various LGBT organizations are receiving much support from various ministries and state institutions to defend their rights.
"Our march is claimed, blunt, we are revolutionaries, we are ready to fight, we are part of communities, community councils representing sexual diversity without shame and pride," she said.
