Suspected Militant Blast derails Puri Express with 100 injured - India

A powerful IED (Improvised Explosive Device) planted on the tracks exploded, derailing four coaches at Bhatkuchi, in lower Assam. . No fatalities were reported in that incident but 20 of the 100 injured were described by police as being in a serious condition. Soon after the explosion, the Railway relief team and Army personnel rushed to the spot to rescue the passengers. The injured passengers were admitted in Nalbari, Rangia and Gauhati Medical College Hospitals.
