Qualifying for the American Le Mans Series began at Mosport International Raceway Saturday, along side the penultimate race in the Porsche GT3 Challenge Canada Series. Bowmanville, Canada. June 23rd 2011

In one of the largest automotive racing events on the Canadian calendar, a packed schedule of practice, qualifying and competition began at the Mosport International Raceway, approximately 50km east of Toronto.

Races run Saturday included F2000 Championship racing, IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama, Cooper Tires Prototype Lites, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge and the Castrol Touring Car Championship.

In addition to the racing that was occurring that day competitors in the headlining event, the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) began practice and qualifying for the main event on Sunday afternoon.
