Rio de Janeiro - The Brazilian architect, Oscar Niemeyer was present at the inauguration of the exhibition "Oscar Niemeyer 1999-2009" opened in the gallery of his doughtier, Anna Maria Niemeyer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Wednesday May 27, 2009 - OUT SWEDEN -
The catalogue and the fourth edition of "Nosso Caminho" (Our way) review were presented to the public as well. The exhibition collects 12 huge photo panels with the images of the Niemeyer's projects realized in these last 10 years.
The architect, 101 years old, still designs buildings every day. He spent a few years as the president of the Brazilian Communist Party and got married at the sprightly age of 98 with his ex secretary, Vera Lucia, 63 years old.
At the opening of the exhibition were present famous people of the Brazilian society and many friends of the architect.
"Oscar Niemeyer 1999-2009" exhibition will be opened until 31 of June in the Anna Maria Niemeyer gallery at the 140 Santos Dumont square in the exclusively Gávea district in Rio de Janeiro.
