The Obando Fertility Dance

The Obando fertility dance is celebrated every May 17-19 each year in the town of Obando,province of Bulacan, 30 minutes away from Manila,Philippines. It is a religious feast where childless couples are encouraged to dance in the streets and attend mass where the patron saints St. Clare, St. Paschal, and Our lady of Salambao are said to help the couples concieve. Single men and women also attend this feast at Obando so they can petition the saints for a life husband/wife.Many also dance to pray for good fortune.
