India - Sant Rama Nand Funeral

Body of the slain guru, Sant Rama Nand is brought in a coffin to the Shri Guru Ravidas sect's base at village Ballan near Jalandhar, India, June 04, 2009. The body was kept for people to pay their last respects. Later the body was cremated with full state honors. Sant Rama Nand was killed following a shootout at Vienna, Austria on June 25 after a conflict between the Sikh groups which also left another priest Sant Niranjan Dass (lying on stretcher) wounded who was also brought back to India from Vienna. Sant Rama Nand's killing initiated huge protests in the northern India by the sect followers.
