50,000 liters of beer are planned to flow as the 7th annual Jerusalem Beer Festival opened this evening with expectations of 20,000 visitors. Israel. 31st August 2011
The 7th annual Jerusalem Beer Festival opened this evening and will continue tomorrow, September 1st, in the Old Train Station on Derech Hebron in Jerusalem from 18:00 to midnight. Over 50,000 liters of beer from over 150 different brands from all over the world (main stream, local and boutique breweries) will be served at the festival. Over 20,000 locals and tourists - primarily a young audience – are expected to visit the annual beer fest.
The Jerusalem Beer Festival will feature concerts with popular Israeli bands Mercedes Band (http://www.myspace.com/mercedesband) and Beit Habubot (www.myspace.com/beithabubotisrael). A party hosted by top Israeli DJs Elad Varon and Dror Shalit will follow the live concerts.
In addition to the rock concerts and large variety of beers, visitors will be able to enjoy stands offering many different types of kosher food, accessories market, beer store selling exclusive beer brands, common areas, live demonstration of the beer production process and various attractions that together create the perfect beer fest experience.
