Solidarity for Juan Fernández Plane Crash Victims - Chile
More then 1,000 people gathered outside the building of the National Television of Chile (TVN) to show their solidarity following a plane crash which killed 21 people including members of a TVN television crew. Santiago. 4th September 2011
The tragic accident took place at 5:48 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, when the Chilean Air Force plane lost radio contact as it was attempted to land on Juan Fernández Island.
Among the 21 persons aboard were members of a TV crew for the Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN) “Buenos Días a Todos” morning show, including star presenter Felipe Camiroaga.
Staff from earthquake reconstruction organization Desafio Levantemos Chile and Chile’s Council for Culture were also on the plane, as well as its five-person crew and Chilean Air Force personnel.
