Kazakh folk music band Turan performs at Asia Festival - Barcelona

Kazakh traditional folk music band Turan, perform at the Opening of the Barcelona's 2011 Asia Festival.
The band Turan was created in 2008 on the initiative of the Kurmangazy Kazakhstan National Music School. An original event that recreates the sound of ancient instruments in order to find new ways of performing folk music through a contemporary staging.
The Asia Festival has reached its tenth year and will celebrate with a wide range of high quality productions from abroad and the presence of the Asian communities in Catalonia. From 16th to 25th September, Barcelona will again become a showcase for the cultural richness and diversity of Asia.
