Rural Entrepreneur Carnival is held in Malaysia - Putrajaya
Malaysia's Rural Entrepreneur Carnival 2011 showcases approximately 500 rural entrepreneurs in four major categories of food and beverages, herbs, crafts and services. 22nd September 2011
The 1Malaysia Rural Entrepreneur Carnival 2011 (Karnival Usahawan Desa - KUD) organised by the Rural and Regional Development Ministry from 21st to 25th September 2011 at Laman 1Malaysia, Presint 2, Putrajaya is set to see a big difference compared with the last one.
Malaysia Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak officiated KUD 2011 on 22 September 2011 (Thursday). Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in an announcement today said the government is now in the process of launching the Rural Transformation Center (RTC) program in Gopeng, Perak.
According to Najib, the program is in tune with the government's new strategy which is the National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS 4).
"This program functions as the center to supply agro-food and agro-businesses that connects producers with consumers all over Malaysia," said Najib in his speech during the launching of the 1Malaysia rural entrepreneurs' carnival today.
He added that the initiative was done to improve the rural marketing network.
1Malaysia Rural Entrepreneur Carnival (KUD 2011) which involves the participation of approximately 500 rural entrepreneurs in four (4) major categories of food / beverages, herbs, crafts and services. Various interesting programs planned in the organization of cooperatives in 2011 as follows:
a. Exhibition and sale of quality products of rural entrepreneurs;
b. Business matching;
c. Exhibition of the department / agency MRRD (KEMAS, MARA, KEJORA, RISDA, FELCRA, KETENGAH, JAKOA, KESEDAR, KEDA, INFRA and PPNP);
d. Exhibition Ministry / Department / Agency invitations including financial institutions;
e. Product demonstrations, demonstrations of traditional games;
f. Cooking demonstrations of traditional multi-state;
g. Cultural performances;
p. Performing artists invited;
i. Premier forum;
j. Exhibition of technology innovation and
k. Auto show.
